As you may recall, the dipping process uncovered extensive damage hidden within the right rear quarter panel. To make the situation worse, the original repair was done using methods that are simply not acceptable by today’s standards. While it was fixable, the repair would have been a time-consuming project for our team.
This week, the used parts gods smiled upon the RK Motors restoration team. An OEM right quarter panel was sourced and shipped. While it did have a small crease above the wheel well, that proved to be an easy fix. The best part is that our team was able to remedy the situation with 100% accurate Chrysler Corporation metal.
With the quarter panel and cowl issues both addressed, most of the sheet metal repair is now complete.
